About OG Mama Creates

Hi, I’m Stephanie.

I’m the creative behind OG Mama Creates.

I’m a marketing and design professional, artist, maker, mom, Midwest native, and lifelong creative who has always had a hard time leaving materials alone once I see what they could become.

By day, I work in nonprofit marketing and design, helping mission-driven organizations, associations, and small businesses tell their stories through websites, newsletters, social media, print materials, campaigns, and creative strategy.

By night, I’m usually making something with paint, wood, color, vinyl, acrylic, paper, or whatever material sparked the latest idea.

OG Mama Creates is where all of that comes together.

It’s part creative studio, part marketing support, part custom project shop, and part hands-on workshop experience.

At the heart of it all is one simple goal:

Make it clear. Make it personal. Make it joyful.

How It Started

OG Mama Creates didn’t begin as a business plan.

It started as a creative space.

The first version was a 450-square-foot mother-in-law suite in Jonesboro, Arkansas. It was small, crowded, and packed with projects, supplies, half-finished ideas, and the kind of creative mess that only makes sense to the person working in it.

Over time, that studio grew into a larger workspace in Cornwall, New York, where I created handmade products, DIY kits, custom pieces, and the first version of my creative pop-up events.

Now, with a move to College Station, Texas, OG Mama Creates is entering a new chapter.

The tools have changed a bit. The piles of materials have not.

You’ll still find wood scraps, paint, ribbon, pressed flowers, acrylic, vinyl, paper, and bins full of things that might look like junk to someone else.

To me, they’re just future projects.

The Name

OG Mama Creates comes from the two people who made me a mama in the first place: Ori and George.

They have grown up around craft messes, creative experiments, design projects, and the idea that making something with your hands is always worth the time.

Being a mom shaped this whole thing more than anything else.

Kids should know how to make things.
Adults should remember how.

That belief is still at the center of everything I create.

My Professional Side

Before OG Mama Creates became a studio, I built a career in graphic communications, marketing, design, and nonprofit storytelling. I have more than 15 years of experience helping nonprofits, associations, small businesses, schools, athletic programs, tourism organizations, clubs, and community-driven teams communicate with clarity and heart.

My work has included:

My Maker Side

Creativity has never stopped at my computer screen.

I love making things that feel personal, useful, colorful, and worth keeping. Some ideas become custom gifts. Some become signs or decor. Some turn into DIY kits. Some become workshop projects. Some are just experiments that teach me what to try next. I work with paint, wood, acrylic, paper, vinyl, florals, found materials, and whatever else I can imagine turning into something new. I have a soft spot for second-life materials, messy work tables, custom name projects, handmade gifts, and the kind of creativity that happens when people stop worrying about doing it “right” and just start making.

Creative Workshops + Pop-Ups

One of the ways OG Mama Creates is growing in College Station is through mobile creative workshops and pop-up experiences.

These are hands-on creative events designed for kids, adults, families, private parties, schools, churches, small businesses, and community groups.

They are not your average paint night.

Each workshop is designed around custom projects, seasonal themes, personalization, and the joy of making something with your hands.

Create + Joy

Create + Joy is the kids, family, and all-ages side of OG Mama Creates.

These workshops are perfect for birthday parties, caregiver-child sessions, homeschool groups, school events, family nights, holiday workshops, and creative pop-ups where kids and adults can make side by side.

No pressure to be “artsy.”
No perfect final product required.
Just materials, guidance, imagination, and a table full of people creating together.

Create & Gather

Create & Gather is the adult workshop side.

These are creative nights for private parties, girls’ nights, moms’ groups, church groups, team-building events, showers, local businesses, and community gatherings.

Think custom projects, relaxed instruction, creative connection, and something you actually want to keep, gift, or display.
